still a big housing shortage  Margaret managed to get part house in Lovett Road  David married & in Quarters at Woolwich  Rates gone up to 9-15-0 half year  water rate 14.2  Clothing still ration  Mrs Pegram married Col Bonham-Carter<\/a> <\/span> the only time I get a good feed is when I go to lunch there or they send us or bring us rabbit or pheasant.  she\u2019ll have Jill & Panda  Panda has been a very nice show bitch done very well with her Minki Pod<\/a> <\/span> one of Jills Granddaughters whelp on 27.  hope she has a nice litter  am expecting Mrs Sydenham for a holiday  had a really warm winter scarcely any snow & a nice spring  tree in full blossom so should have a good fruit crop.  Dick still gardening<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again to let folk of the future know if interested we are still in a sad state as regard food etc. & there is talk of war. with Russia.  meat is scarcer now than at any time  8 pennyworth each per week.  amounting top approx: 2 sm chops or \u00bd lb stewing Steak still rationed Butter 4oz wk.(2\/- lb) Marg 4 oz wk 10 lb) Bacon 4oz wk (3\/1\u00bd a lb) (Cooking fat) in place of lard 2oz wk (1\/- lb) Sugar 5lb 10oz wk tea (11\u00bd qtr) eggs (3\u00bd ea) and coal 5-11-8 pir ton if which blame on to the labour Government.  they are wasting money & doing some ridiculous experiment<\/a>\n<\/span>\n& loosing millions of pounds.  I have Joan & her 3 boys here since Aug: 1949.  she got a legal sep: Persistent Cruelty with Custody of the Children.  VMT<\/a>\n<\/span>\nis a rotter.  sends money when the Court worrys him with prison  he is trying to make things uncomfortable again now  Joan hopes to get a council house soon  It has been a very cold wet winter & still raining   Only have 1 dog Peke Little Loo <\/p>\n\n\n\n
