Like the previous MZ, a full-sized bike but this time only a 125.  I kept it in France for a while &#8211; for popping up to the baker&#8217;s for instance.  One day. on just such a journey I arrived at a good lick and had to mount the dropped kerb in front of the shop which was less dropped than I had thought &#8230;  the front wheel jumped off it and we slid along the (happily!) empty parking area., coming to a halt in front of the shop.  Now this is quite a noisy business and I am sure everybody with 100 yards would have been aware of it.  However, picking myself up, dusting myself off, etc., I went in to buy my loaf.  Normally in France, everybody in the shop would say &#8220;Bonjour&#8221; &#8230;  Not today: they all stared fixedly in front of them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the odd things I have observed, having done this several (too many!) times, is how your trousers seem unaffected but your legs are cut to ribbons underneath them.
