Returning to work Maggie got a job at Crookhoirn School. Her Head of Dept. was Steve Grant who organised an anuual staff ski trip. Here she is with (L to R) Dickie Dawe, Steve Grant, Evan, and Brian (surname unknown but he was, I think, a security guard – if that helps?)
Never having skied before, and not being very, err, athletic, Maggie found a wonderful freedom in sliding downhill on a couple of bits of wood – despite being knocked unconscious by a Japanese lady on her first attempt. She never missed a year
… but still didn’t like being photographed!
Although she really liked this one, with both boys at Christmas in the mid ’90s. I know it was at ‘Mottaret 1800’, we had a lot of snow and I had the good fortune to do a 360 degree spin in the company landrover without hitting anything!

Little more than a shed! The picture shows it in 1982 shortly before we demolished it. The house to the left was built by Joan and occupies half the plot they bought in 1952. They had about 2/3 of an acre of ground.

Derwent George Cooper Hanson was their 3rd child, born 8/9/1918, and thus just 21 at the start of the war. Died ??/??/??
