How she was remembered …

At the grave-side …

From Nick and Jo Perry …
I’d known Nick since 1975 and worked directly with him for the last 6 years or so of my Gas Board existence. He was a very nice man, but I think he was right!

From Jill Cummings …
We haven’t seen Jill since 1976 or so, after which she moved to Lockerbie and we moved to Bedhampton (a bit safer, we concluded, later). I didn’t know about the cream cakes!

From Eve …
When Maggie started in EOTAS, Eve was teacher-in-charge at her Woodside Pupil Referral Unit. Eve is another strong character, and I wondered how they would get along. I should have known better!

From Diane & John West …
I hadn’t recalled that Maggie had met Diane (and John) West before we moved to Bedhampton. Clearly they got on very well.

From Dave & Sheila Hayward …
Dave Hayward was a very nice scouser who we knew through his support of Scouting events. While he didn’t know Maggie well, his remarks are very touching.

From Barbara Dollimore …
Margaret met Barbara at Kingston Modern, where she was Head of Science. They later shared child care and became close friends. I still see Barbara and we often share a cup of tea or lunch together.

From Peter Littlefield …
I knew Peter Littlefield as the former Outdoor Ed and D of E man for Portsmouth, and he had barely met Margaret, but I obviously went on at him a lot about her exploits!
